The Pike Central Student Government will be hosting a Trunk or Treat and haunted hallways on October 3oth. The trunk or treat will be in front of the cafeteria doors from 5-6 pm. The haunted hallway will be held from 6-8 pm. There will be a small charge for the haunted hallway and all proceeds will be going to Riley's Hospital for Children.
The 6th graders had a great day celebrating their reading successes! Congratulations and keep up the good work!

6th grade students enjoyed reading "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" play in class today as we continue our "Spook-Tacular" month of stories!

Mrs. Carter's Language Arts class read the Outsiders by SE HInton. As a final project, they had to take a modern day song and change the lyrics to match the book. They worked in groups and had to present their songs to the class.
Mr. Ross's 7th grade art students made some very creative pumpkins that are on display in the W.A.C.
Mrs. Weisman's 6th grade science class participated in a digital escape room last week as they studied what math tools and skills are used in science.
Mrs. King 8th grade students made delicious carmel corn today! #pcmspride

The middle school student government members met this morning and discussed this year's t-shirt design. They also talked about community service projects including an October trunk or treat, and a November canned food drive.
